Are you someone who has tried meditating on your own and never really made it work? Do you feel like you can’t meditate because your mind is too busy or your body is too restless? Are you curious about meditation but also a little apprehensive because you don’t know what we actually do in meditation? If so, this workshop is designed just for you to answer your curiosities and questions around the practice of meditation.
With Dora Chan as your guide, we will explore:
What is meditation?
What are the benefits of meditation?
What are the different types of meditation?
What is Yoga Nidra meditation and how does it differ from other forms of meditation?
How do we practise meditation?
How often should we meditate?
What are micro-practices?
What are some practical ways to maintain a consistent meditation practice?
And any other questions you may have!
This workshop includes a teaching portion and an experiential portion. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and have a conversation around meditation, as well as putting your new knowledge into practice with a food meditation, movement-based meditation, a breath meditation, and a yoga nidra meditation. The intention is that you will leave the workshop as a confident and successful meditator!
