Come enjoy a hour of meditation and gentle breathwork . This event is by Donation and facilitated by Amanda Andersen.
Amanda first experienced yoga and Indian philosophy when she was in her mother's womb and as an infant in her hometown of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She returned to the practice of yoga and the exploration of breathwork and meditation in her early twenties, and it was this thread that supported her through career changes between finance, art, and ultimately, education, and moves to Providence, Paris, London, Brussels, and back to Rio de Janeiro before landing in Santa Barbara for her doctoral studies.
For the past twenty years, Amanda has regularly practiced yoga, breathwork, and meditation. As part of her PhD in Education at UCSB, Amanda is researching breathwork and creativity. She is a certified wellness coach through the Art of Living Foundation / International Association of Human Values and is currently becoming a certified Marma practitioner. Amanda believes in the power of community and nature to support change, creativity, and growth, and brings those elements into her breathwork and meditation sessions.
