The Five Keys: An Experiential Evening with Michael Gibian

  • Flow Yoga & Wellness 4441 Hollister Avenue Santa Barbara, CA, 93110 United States (map)

Join us for a special experiential evening with Michael Gibian, author of The Five Keys: A Field

Guide to Psychological Literacy and its companion workbook.

Psychological literacy invites us to meet our inner experience — emotions, thoughts, and

patterns — with clarity and compassion. In the same way that yoga aligns body, breath, and

mind, psychological literacy helps us recognize and realign our inner posture toward life.

During this evening, Michael will blend talk, guided practice, and somatic exercises designed to

bring The Five Keys to life. Participants will not only hear about the Five Keys but experience

them directly — through accessible practices that deepen presence, resilience, and connection

both on and off the mat.

This session also serves as the doorway into Michael’s upcoming six-week group program,

where the book and workbook come alive through deeper exploration and community practice.

Whether you’re a yoga practitioner, teacher, or simply curious about integrating inner awareness

with embodied practice, this evening offers a supportive space to explore, reflect, and connect.

$10 -Space is limited, Please register in advance

Michael Gibian is an Inner Leadership Coach and author of The Five Keys: A Field Guide to

Psychological Literacy and its companion workbook. For over 35 years, his work has centered

on one essential question: how do we return to the calm, clear center within us—the part that

remains steady, even when life is not?

Michael helps thoughtful, high-functioning people reconnect with their inner clarity and body’s

wisdom through a blend of mindfulness, somatic awareness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)

principles. His approach invites participants to meet themselves with honesty, compassion, and

presence—qualities that deepen both personal and professional practice.

His journey into this work began with loss and a lifelong curiosity about the landscapes of

emotion, healing, and resilience. Along the way, he’s studied with teachers including Sri Sri

Ravi Shankar, Thich Nhat Hanh, S.N. Goenka, Jack Kornfield, and Ron Kurtz, and

continues to learn from his clients and his own life experience.

Michael’s teaching is known for its grounded clarity, gentle humor, and a deep respect for the

body as a gateway to truth.
